Don Baker Founder/Executive Director

Don Baker learned the importance of helping others through his mother’s volunteer efforts with food banks and the Head Start program. Don gives his time to a number of organizations; Daybreak Star Cultural Center for United Indians of all Tribes Foundation, Greenpeace, America's Second Harvest, Washington Book and Braille Library, and the World Rhythm Festival.

Don’s many years as a freelance illustrator in Seattle has allowed him to continue to hone his problem-solving skills. As his interest in environmental issues has grown over the years, he has been increasingly drawn to creating visual imagery for nonprofit causes.

Don’s bright and positive illustration style has landed him assignments illustrating books including Stuff: The Secret Lives of Everyday Things, published by Sightline Institute (formerly Northwest Environment Watch), and the Northwest Greenbook by Sasquatch Press. His work has been featured in publications such as YES! and Greater Good, and he has done artwork for Community Stewardship Exchange, Make A Wish Foundation, American Museum of Natural History, and others. don@evidenceofhumanity.org
